Welcome to David Bailey Photography

Along with, Teaching Photography, I specialise in Portraiture, Boudoir, Wedding Photographymuch more

I’m a Ballarat Photographer and Photography Trainer with over 12 years experience. Not long ago, I was explaining to someone my love for shooting Boudoir Photography. How I love being able to change a Womans self image… Often, a womans Significant Other will tell her that she’s a Stunning, Beautiful and Sexy Woman. Yet, she won’t see it. Unfortunately, she’ll only see her chicken wings, her tummy, stretch marks, etc etc. However, in Boudoir Photography (in fact in all Photography), with a little lighting and posing, her true self can be high-lit and captured. When she returns for a viewing of her Boudoir Images, she’ll see what her Significant Other has been saying about her. She’ll be astounded at how beautiful she really is! As I was saying this, I noticed from head to toe I had Goosebumps!!!

This is the passion I bring to my work every time I lift my Vintage Medium Format or DSLR Cameras.

I’m based in Ballarat, however, Photograph Victoria (& Australia) wide. This includes locations at Daylesford, Talbot, Horsham, Ararat, Bendigo, Geelong, Creswick, Buninyong and Maryborough. Travel can be included in most Photography packages, though for some areas a little may need to be added to cover costs.

If you’re planning your upcoming Wedding – congrats! Do you have an idea of Venues for your Big Day? No? Awesome, here’s a few of the local Wedding Venues that I’ve captured incredible Wedding Images for Brides and Grooms. Buninyong Botanical Gardens, Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Ballarat Mid City Motor Inn, Willow & Stone Estate, Midlands Golf Club, Cave Hill Creek, Mercure Ballarat Hotel & Convention Centre, RACV Goldfields Resort and Kirks Reservoir.  After the ceremony, Ballarat has some stunning locations for location images. Locations such as The Railway Station, Lake Wendouree, Mount Helen, Mount Clear, Buninyong Botanical Gardens, Ballarat Botanical Gardens, The Tangled Maze, Mair Street Tunnel and Kirks Reservoir. We’re surrounded by natural Australian scrub & Pine forests and don’t forget about the stunning heritage architecture that provide incredible backdrops for beautiful Wedding imagery in Ballarat.

About

I’m a Husband, Father, Grandfather (eek, I’m not even old) & sometimes a Blogger. My love of Photography started in Primary School, with rolls of Film, a black room & tubs of chemicals. It grew from there to where I am today, an Award Winning Wedding Photographer.

Amazing Ballarat Photographer

I’m an experienced Ballarat Photographer & Photography Trainer with a true passion for all things Camera – yes I even collect & use Vintage Cameras! I love getting to know the people in front of the lens and capturing something real and insightful about them.

Whether it’s the model, a bride or a corporate client, the camera shy or the camera happy, I like to establish a comfortable rapport and capture something memorable about them.

Thankyou for taking the time to get to know me and I hope to speak to you soon about your photography needs!

I recently wrote a Blog Post & answered questions numerous people on Facebook asked. It even includes Ninja Skills I’ve learnt to become an incredible Photographer, jump over and read it here.
